Nursing

Well it has been over one year since I graduated from nursing school...

And I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a nurse. Since I graduated, I have absolutely fallen in love with being a pediatric nurse. I love giving bugs bunny band aids and hugs, giggling, and blowing bubbles while on the clock. Okkkkaay.... So I have to actually be a grown up and be serious sometimes...
it's not ALL fun and games, but the fun shore does outweigh the boring!

On a more serious note, I really do love the fact that as a nurse I can literally step into the lives of families at one of their most vulnerable moments and feel like for the next few days I am a huge part of their world-- this is a privilege and responsibility. I am consumed by the fact that as a  believer in Jesus, I can ask Him to fill me with His Spirit and ask Him to make me His hands and His feet, understanding that He is the ultimate Healer and sustainer of life. I can PRAY for my patients and instantly have access to the Throne of Jesus, Who knows EXACTLY what each of my patients physical and emotional needs are. No number of degrees behind your name can compare to the infinite knowledge of a sovereign God that gives us direct access to Himself! -THIS thought gets me up in the morning!

Nursing isn't for everyone. There is absolutely nothing super special about being a nurse. Our God can use anyone and everyone at their job or homemaking if there is a willing Spirit!! :) "...if you seek Him,He WILL BE FOUND BY YOU."(1chron. 29:9). A childrens hospital just happens to be where I have landed right now and my desire is to just *BE HIM*to these kids....in my hugs, in my smile, in my attitude, in a servant spirit.  I want them on my heart like I know they are on His and I want to see them through His eyes.
