26.2
Sooo... My crazy husband and I have totally lost our minds and have decided to run the St. Jude marathon this December. I ran the St. Jude half marathon last year and then we ran a half marathon together this past march. We now have this wild hair to try and finish a full marathon ( preferably without passing out, or throwing up, or dying).
I'm sure Jonathan will be fine... I have to push myself to keep up with that man.
Allow me to illustrate.....

13.1!
Today Jonathan and I did the Germantown half marathon. It was Jonathan's first ever half and he did absolutely amazing... He kept us at such a good pace. In fact, I would have never gotten the finish time by myself without him pushing me! Running together has been such a fun thing and has given an opportunity to encourage each other:) I am so proud of him I can hardly stand it! We finished in 2:03:41! WooHoo:)

Smile Train 5k!
This afternoon Jonathan and I ran in the Smile Train 5k. This race benefited children all over the world with cleft palate to be able to have repair surgery. This was close to our heart because our sweet Nya was able to have cleft palate surgery before they ever brought her home from China. She is just beautiful and has such a sweet, joyful little smile:) and we love her so so dearly:) We finished in 27:32! Jonathan even got a metal for finishing 3rd in his age group. I was so proud!:)
Here are a few pictures of our Nya and here is us at the race!
Happy Sunday to everyone! Hope you have a great week!

Run Like You Stole It!
It's Race day!!!
So J and I this morning participated in the St. Jude Marathon weekend! J did the 5k and I did the half marathon...WOW! It was a blast. The Lord gave us absolutely beautiful weather and lots of energy. It made me so grateful to be alive and healthy enough to tackle something like this. I talked with a friend who had finished the half before a few weeks ago and she was saying it was so humbling to run through the St. Jude Campus because you realize that some of these kids cannot even walk. She was so right. It could so easily be me in that situation and yet it just made me so,so thankful for the health that my family and I have been given. How I do not want to take health for granted but always be thankful to the Lord, give Him the glory, and serve Him.
Anyway, the fun started last night as we loaded up on some carbs...mmm..pasta!
We then laid out everything we needed for the next bright and early morning....
I meant to get a picture of us before the race but I forgot...Here are some post-race shots!
Our Times:
J finished the 5k in 32:25
I finished the half marathon in 2:17:28
To Him be the glory!!
